Proofs- yay or nay

Did anyone get their proofs back ...

and were not thrilled with a lot of the pictures. I'm just curious. And, what was it about the pics that you didn't like? Was it the photog. or the poses? Some shots that I thought would be great were not. Don't get me wrong I can definitely make an album of beautiful pics, but it seems like in a lot of the portraits my 'good angle' was not taken..

Yea, it's one of those things. I love most of my pics, but I was disappointed with a lot of the portraits of me alone and DH and I alone. But, there are a few that are priceless, so I am just putting them straight into the album.

Hi Ladies I had a love hate relationship with my pics too...But as time went by I realized that pics are unique to each wedding and what we may think are not beatiful..others may feel are FABULOUS!

You know what I agree with that. The more I look at my pics the more I love them. Even the ones that I thought weren't as great are starting to look nicer. A friend came over last night and thought I was nuts for having any doubts. He said, 'do you have pictures of everyone you wanted'- Yes. 'Did you get them back fast'- Yes. 'Then there's no problem here. They are beautiful.' He was right, I can't expect to look like a super model bride in all 700. I think part of my skepticism was being self-critical of the way I look. I've come to terms with it, though. The day of I thought I looked gorgeous and didn't have any worries, so I am not going to start now. Ok, rant over.

I absolutely LOVED our photographer and thought our proofs were beautiful but...

I thought they didn't take enough pictures of my DH alone/with his GMs. We had asked that one of the photographers come to my parents' house and one go to the church to take pics of my DH. They said that they don't like to separate the team and that after they finished the pics of me and my girls they would both go to the church to get the shots of my DH and his guys. They did get some, but not enough IMO.

I also wasn't thrilled with where we took pictures at the RH. This wasn't the photographer's fault (it was the RH's fault because another bride arrived early and took over the outdoor picture areas...grrr).

Overall, I got great pictures, but there were a few things I was upset about.

we love our pics and our photographer was great. but there are a few shots that he did not get, and the more i look at the proofs the more i start to analyze them.

i'm sure your's are gorgeous, don't be so hard on yourself
