Property/ house related!

So the 'Where to live' post had me thinking. I'm just curious to what everyone is paying and getting out of it.

1. How much do you pay for property taxes each year?
2. How big is your lot?
3. How many square feet is your house? approximately.
4. What county do you live in?

when i think about it, my maintenance comes out to $8100 a year which is about what LI taxes would be depending on where you live.

That's true, but doesn't your maint. include water, electric, gas etc.

Long Island we pay taxes, PLUS all that. CRAZY!!!! If my whole family weren't here, I'd be gone in a second.

nope. my maintenance only includes heat and water, i pay gas and electric separately.

yeah and it's really LOW for a 2br. most of them are $800 a month or more.

We pay 7200 a year/ 6200 with star
Our lot is 120x120 about .25
House size is 1400 sq feet ( not inc the basement)
We live in Suffolk County

We were shocked that our taxes are so inexpensive! Our home has a huge 2 car garage, huge deck, a pool, finished basement, 3 bed and 3 bath. We had to double check.
We were looking in Nassau county and realized also...that we get so much more property for the money.

I forgot to answer my questions.
1. $1320 per year. We got really lucky with the taxes. It's mostly because we have an old house and there was no addition to the house since it was built.
2. 1/4 acre
3. 1200 sf
4. Suffok County (E. Northport)

I have seen numbers like that in this area...I thought it was a typo!! Wow!! Thast awesome!
