Anyone ever been? Fun place to go to for 2-3 days??

Providence is very nice and historic looking, there are some really nice restaurants and a great mall, but IMO, it's more of a day trip.

What about Newport, RI? That's more like cape cod bc you have the beach and great seafood plus some wineries!

DH took me to Newport for Valentine's Day and it was so cute. We stayed in an old mansion and the town was really nice. Good food. I'd recommend that, like Becca said!

I also know a couple who went to Newport, RI for a long weekend and said it was super cute!

Thanks girls! I think we might end up staying in Providence, but visiting Newport also. The hotel prices in Newport for this weekend are craaaaaazy, unless we want to stay at the Pineapple Inn which is the only reasonable one lol

i've only driven passed providence on my way to Newport!! I really love newport, I'm planning on going at the end of July and in August (I have a friend there).
