Puerto Rico???

We would like to plan a trip to Puerto Rico in October.

Has anybody been there???
Any suggestions???
Where should I stay???
Any places to go Visit???

We went there for our honeymoon in September. We stayed at the Intercontinental San Juan Resort and Casino. The hotel was okay, but I'm not sure that if I were to go back I would stay there again. Our room was nice & the pool & beach were gorgeous. I would definately recommend staying in the San Juan area. We were near everything.

I would recommend definately visitng Old San Juan & going to see the forts. We also went to the Bacardi Distillery which was a great trip. It's a free tour. The other excursion we went on was a tour of El Yunque rainforest. I absolutely loved it.

My brother goes there alot on business. He just recently mentioned the best place to stay where they have the best beaches too. I will ask him and let you know!

My family lives there. It depends what you're loking for; El Condado is a beautiful spot but very commercial. Sorta like Rodeo Drive/Fifth Avenue; high class shopping and hotels with private beaches. The san Juan Wyhndahm was great; right there in san juan where the cruise ships dock. Fantastic area for shopping and exploring old san juan. My uncle works for the casinos so we've been to all the ones he's worked at.

My cousin works at the Ritz. And yes as cliche as it is, the BEST service. We get the rooms cheeap because we use his discount but the service is impeccable and everyone speaks English pretty well so no awkward moments if Spanish is not your language.

I'll ask him his recommendations. You should take a trip uo the coast and/or go to Ponce.

I also went to PR for my honeymoon. We went to Humacao for 3 days & San Juan for 4 days. You can FM me with questions anytime...

i stayed there one night on my honeymoon after my cruise. we stayed at the Mariott in Concado. The hotel is beautiful and the service is wonderful!! a bus picks you up around the corner and takes you to Old San Juan (dont cab it...too expensive). there is so much to see there but watch out for people trying to rip you off.

DEFINITELY go eat at Pamela's. they have tables on the beach and the food is amazing!!

DH and I went there a few summers ago. We stayed in the El Condado area two blocks away from the beach. It was a small hotel, not a chain. The rooms were very nice and we got to have breakfast outside every morning. We took a short bus ride to get to Old San Juan. It was very nice.

That was right up the block from the hotel we stayed in. They were on the same beach as our hotel I believe. That's a good area to stay in.
