Putting things on hold-
Hey girls!
You've all witnessed my 'baby fever' posts..
DH and I are putting it on hold for now-we weren't planning on officially TTC'ing till closer to summer anyway-
As much as we want a baby, this job is going to need all of my attention, especially the first 6 months. On top of that DH and I are selling 2 properties at the moment (kind of a nightmare).
We need to prioritize right now...my baby fever has turned back into career fever. And for now, that's a great thing!
To be really honest ,I think a lot of the baby fever came from not being happy in my current work position and needing some type of change in my life to make up for it. Being engaged and planning a wedding was such an amazing distraction from my job, I think I automatically switched to baby gear so I had something to focus on besides what was making me unhappy at work.
I'd much rather be established in this new position (which is a MAJOR job for the company) before getting PG-because from all I've heard about pregnancy sickness, I don't want any distractions until I'm settled and in a routine at work.
The good news is that the new position is a much better environment (in an office!) for being pregnant, so I'm thankful for that. Plus I want to be there long enough, so that when I am pregnant, I can propose being able to work from home 1 or 2 days a week after mat leave....I can't exactly do that if I'm only there a few months.
I'm so happy and honored to start in this new position! I start in 2 weeks (March 8, the day after my 31st birthday).
Everything happens for a reason, when the time is right we will have babies. And in the meantime, I'm climbing the corporate ladder for the #1 makeup company in the world. Not too shabby if you ask me
Thank you ladies for so much love and support!!
