i know its pretty late in the day... but i saw this on LIF so i decided to make it into a Q of the D on here...
when someone tells you something and says 'dont tell anyone' do you typically keep it to yourself, or no?

I usually tell DH everything because he either doesnt know the other people involved in the secret or doesnt care. But if its a secret amongst friends, I dont tell anyone because I know it could get back to me.

sometimes I'll tell DH, but only b/c he usually doesnt know the person or care enough the tell anyone else. But I don't tell anyone else. It's just rude and I wouldnt want anyone dishing my dirt.

I tell DH everything and my mom. I won't tell anyone else though. DH is the same way tells me all the things he has sworn not to tell. We just can't help it.

Unless someone specifically asks me not to tell DH I tell him everything. A couple of weeks ago a good friend of ours told me some big news but asked me not to tell DH bc they wanted to tell him themselves. It was soooo harddddd bc I was itching to say something to him

same here. except once my sister told me something and said 'don't tell your dh but....' i swear, i thought i was going to pop a blood vessel i wanted to tell him so badly.

something I tell DH, but other things I don't. If it's a big secret I respect my friends by keeping it to myself, but if its minor stuff I'll tell DH.

I can't keep a secret to save my life. My entire family, and friends know this. if they don't want ppl to know they don't tell me. It is awful but it is true.

I can keep a secret for sure. My DH is not a gossip and a lot of times prefers not to know. I.E.: if one of my friends has a blow out with her boyfriend he'd rather not know bc then he'll think the guy is a d!ck or something. This has happened in the past.
