Re: Q of the Day 3.25.09
Biggest challenge for us has been taking care of our puppy lol I have always been trying to pay off my debt and save for a house, so that's nothing new, but this puppy......oh boy.
I have never yelled at someone/something so much in my life lol 'Get down from there' 'no peeing in here' 'stop chewing on that' haha It's tough, but it's what we signed up for :( lol

me being in school. He makes dinner, does laundry etc. it doesn't seem to bother him, but it bothers me... and we don't get to see each other as often b/c of school.
hate school.
otherwise, so far it's been a REALLY good first year.

Re: Q of the Day 3.25.09
Biggest challenge for us right now is me being out of work. Not to mention I think I'm starting to get depressed, I feel so much guilt for not working, or not finding a job within the first month of being laid off it's starting to take it's toll on me.
Also, we want to have a baby, but right now would not be a great time. It just seems that whenever we get a plan/budget in place for a desired goal, life just E'ffs it up!

Ayne, don't worry dear, things are hard right now, but you will find something eventually. It took me 3 months to find a job when I was laid off, and that was almost 3 years ago, and not in the times we are right now. Unfortunately you can't expect to get something quickly right now b/c everyone is on a hiring freeze or laying off. :-/ Just hang in there, don't feel guilty for something you had no control over.

I think picking a town to live in was honestly a HUGE challenge for us.
Also having alone time. between school, him working full time, and the little munchkin it was hard finding some alone time. But now the little guy sleeps ALOT more, so its better now .. i missed my husband lol

Re: Q of the Day 3.25.09
For me it has been trying to get DH to 'share' his money - he likes everything separate and it is still separate - well, where it is kept is (different accounts) -- we of course pool money for bills, going out, etc - but he doesn't want to put it in one account. He won't even transfer money from his account to our joint account online! We has to give me cash. (we have the joint for the wedding money we got, needed to be a joint for that - otherwise it would have never been opened)
That and saving - I am even though I am out of work and he does I guess, but not as much as I feel is necessary, and he keeps talking about buying a snowmobile in the summer when the prices are down - I'm like HELLO not that important right now.

Ugh...men.....sorry hun. My DH doesn't want to join our accounts either, but I kind of don't think it's that big of a deal b/c he still gives me money if I ask for it so that's good.
:( Tell him a you don't need a snowmobile when you have a big strong DH to do all the shoveling for you :)

Re: Q of the Day 3.25.09
our biggest challenge has been simply where we live. When we got married, we had to move to Colorado. I've NEVER been away from New York before, so it was hard leaving my family and everybody I love. Luckily we only plan to be here for a year or two, and then we will be moving much closer to the Island. But it's been HARD!! We constantly have to deal with me suddenly getting homesick out of nowhere. Even though we like it here, it's still been a bit of challenge (esp for me, but then again he has to take care of me - so it's equally a challenge for him)
Our other challenge is just living together in general. Both of us have either lived with our families or alone before we got married - never with a significant other. (plus our entire relationship was long distance - so the most we'd be together was a couple months at a time). So just me getting used to living with a 'boy' and him getting used to living with a 'girl' has been an interesting process. lol.

The biggest challenge was DH's unemployment. He got laid off while we were on our HM. He was without work for 4 months. It was so hard financially. Not to mention we are renovating our house and doing all the construction ourself because we can't afford anything. Living in a construction site for the past 6 months was a challenge in itself.

Re: Q of the Day 3.25.09
Well, we have been married for 1.5 weeks... and so far our biggest challenge is : Him not understanding that girls take longer to get ready and that CONDITIONER is a MUST. Can you believe he expected me to use his Pert Plus 2 in 1 !!! yesterday he goes, 'You know that bottle is supposed to last me 3 months, and its only been 1.5 weeks and its almost gone' ~ MEN!!!!!
Lets see what else... his idea of helping me do the dishes is putting everything in the sink on top of each other (with the glasses in the bottom and the pots in the top) <-- UGH!!!!!
oh and the baby wipe fight.... he says we are supposed to use it only for one reason. But I tell him that I like using it to remove my make up and clean up the hairs from the sink. --> again, UGH!!!
and the lates one is his new Diet, accoding to him WE are going vegetarian beginning yesterday. Little does he know I ate chicken parm today ..... muaaa haaa haaaahaaaa
