Re: QOTD 2- March 23- Choresss

I hated cleaning my room as a kid, but everything else (like my locker, desk, bookshelves, etc.) was always perfectly neat. Now I sort of hate cleaning but also finding it really relaxing at times. I think if I wasn't so tired at the end of every day (ie. stuck in an hour of traffic on my commute home) I'd have more energy and wouldn't mind as much because in college I was always the one who cleaned the dorm room and it was probably because I had more time.

DH and I split chores, so he does the ones I hate (ironing and cat litter) and I can do whichever I feel like at the time if he doesn't get to it first.

I was always pretty neat (not like I had a choice). I'm still neat as an adult..

My chores when I was younger were:

Setting and clearing the dinner table
emptying the dishwasher
Folding and putting laundry away

And those are all the things that still I dislike to do, at 31 years old.

Funny right!

I hate cleaning!!! We had a cleaning lady when I was young. She came once a week. I still had to do things like make my bed, vacuum my rug, straighten up, clean the kitchen table, do laundry.. but I never had to clean the bathroom, wash the floor or dust. She did all the big ticket items. When I was little I used to get annoyed when the cleaning lady would mess up my routine or plans. Oh Kay, I appreciate you so much more now.

I never never had chores growing up.

Now DH & I are pretty neat so everything is always in its rightful place....as far as dusting and disinfecting DH does most of it and all of the cooking but we mostly eat out so nothing really get dirty. (my stove still has the plastic on the handle from when we moved in back in August and the ironing board and iron we got at my shower is still in the plastic and box.)
