I figure I'd start a question of the day since Im already super bored. Its a little controversial:

Do you think marijuana should be legalized? Why, why not?

i am VERY torn on this topic...

both my dad and dave did a LOT of pot smoking in their youth and dave is lucky to be alive, because he gets to be such a moron when high.

they have been doing research recently and pot smoke is worse for you than nicotine smoke...so i don't know....

i kinda feel like that because cigarettes are legal, pot maybe should be, BUT if you smoke a cigarette - your senses aren't thrown off....you won't act a certain way, etc...you'll be a spaz when you wouldn't normally be...

i think i just answered my own question... Because pot changes the way you act, feel and do things....it should stay illegal....(though alcohol does the same thing)...oy vey.

DEFINATELY! I don't really understand why its not and alcohol is...to me its stupid. And I don't even really smoke pot anymore! I def think my mom, who has cancer, should be able to have a little every now and again! Its better than friggin prozac

Im on both sides of the fence on this one-while I do not smoke, I know someone who does and he has crazy anxiety and OCD and smoking really helps that, makes it more manageable for his daily life. Alcohol is legal and cigarettes are legal-both will kill you if done to often....so what is the difference with weed?

I dont smoke so for me regardless it effects me none.

I vote yes. Alcohol makes you do crazy sh!t and it is legal- so what is the big difference??

no. why do we need more mood-altering stuff out there, to be used legally? yes, alcohol is legal. but it scares me enough already to see how some drunk ppl act. you can say well smoking pot makes people relax, calm, etc. i've seen people make some really irresponsible decisions, personalities change, no motivation, have HORRIBLE reactions- all related to pot. more and more, it seems society wants anything and everything to be acceptable, and they use the argument, well so many ppl do it already so why not just make it legal? sure, alot of ppl do it already, but does that make it okay?? don't think so. alcohol and cigarettes are legal (and they both have ruined lives and killed ppl), why are we using that as an argument to legalize pot AS WELL? honestly, what good would that add to society? i know some will talk about medicinal usage but i think thats a very different argument than discussing legal usage for the general population just for recreation. jmo.
