My answer is no, unless I went during lunch break and couldnt go home to shower. My main point of this is every time I go in to the locker room at my gym I cringe when I see how many people are in there stark naked and just going about their business. And I am not talking about 1-2 people I am talking like 10-12
Situation one- a lady is stark naked and bent over putting lotion on her legs
Situation two - another lady is toweling off her bush. Ewwww
Situation three - another lady with only a towel wrapped around her waist, saggy boobs showing, is blow drying her hair.
Why dont these people go home and shower at HOME! I think it may be because they are using the pool but still I would go home first and not use some dirty locker room shower. Secondly, cover up alittle...no one wants to see your ugly naked self! Ugh! Ok vent over.
PS - I have nothing against asians but wanted to note that many of these people are asian.

No the only time I can see myself taking a shower at the gym is if i have no choice. I have seen some things at the gym that is out of this world like women walking around with tissue btwn their legs I guess they have their period and chooses not to run and put on a pad or put on a tampon and come on put on your underwear why must they walk around naked so disturbing

only in the morning, not after work. if i went after work, i'd shower at home. It's usually dead in the morning and my gym is new and pretty clean. But I hear you; there are gross people walking around naked all the time.

Years ago when I used to go to Bally's I encountered #3. Every night my cousin and I went, this girl was there with only a towel around her waist in the same spot blowing out her hair like she was at home. I used to go to Gold's regularly and it was right by my house, so I always showered at home.

i dont think i would - unless it was a really nice gym.....i think showering at the gym would actually be more of a hassle than just waiting until i got home - the only way i would do it is to save time but i dont really see how it would? and do you bring your own soap and towel?
DH sees lots of naked guys at the gym b/c they are showering too i think its so funny grown men walk around with their wee out!

Only if it was a must! My gym showers look really clean but i would feel very dirty either way. I have not seen anyone walk around naked so far!! LOL

I would - I go to a very small gym and there is only one shower - and no one is ever using it. I think somoene must keep their shampoo in there because I have checked it out - and there's always a bottle of shampoo there! So it's used so infrequently that someone can keep their stuff in there.
I go in the afternoon or evenings so I can just go home and shower. So I never really have a need to use it. But I would if I had to - it's clean and small!

I was a member of NYSC for years and I always used to shower there. I would go either during my lunch break or after lunch. With NYSC you definitely pay for what you get. The showers are extremely clean, they have soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, towels the works. When I would go near my job I would always shower so I wouldn't either go back to work or take the train sweaty. Once I started going to Lucille Roberts Hell no! Those bathrooms are gross so I would go once I got home from work and shower at home.

I do have to agree with you. Even though I haven't gone when I first joined and was shown around I did find them to be clean. And like you said, they are well stocked with everything. The had the dispensers on the wall filled with everything. For a gym I was pretty impressed.

when i belonged to NYSC i did. i used to go during lunch, so i really had no choice, but the showers were always clean. but on the weekends when i would use the NYSC by my place, i would just wait until i got home to shower.

hahahahaha i used to belong to that ballys and yes-- for some reason HUGE AMOUNT of naked asian ladies walking around... even talking to each other while they shower.
for the OP- yes. Unless I run out to the gym late at night, or on my way home from work (which is rare because I have a child to pick up) I almost ALWAYS shower at the gym. For the most part, they are ALWAYS clean, and I wear flip flops.

I go to Bally's in Englewood Cliffs, NJ (near Fort Lee)...but may be it is a Ballys thing.
I have been to NY Sports Club and Equinox and those bathrooms are nice.........spotless! I guess it depends on the gym, but I would not shower at my gym and if I did I would cover up!

I have, but it's only been after I've used the pool and the showers were individual and curtained. Me, being the prude that I am, would shower and get dressed behind the curtain. I hate having other people seeing me nekked. Gross.
