Queens girls - brunch question

Don't give me heat for this!

So as some of you know I am not going to the luncheon because my birthday is Tuesday and I'll be busy celebrating this weekend. My best friend wants to take me out to breakfast/brunch on Sunday as she'll be staying over with me this weekend. Usually DH and I slum it and do a diner or something, but last time we stayed with her and her boyfriend, they took us out to a beautiful breakfast, so I want to do the same for her, especially as she's coming from quite a distance to celebrate with me.

What's a good place for breakfast/brunch? I live in Kew Gardens so I'm thinking Forest Hills area-ish, but we're up for a bit of a drive if it's really good.

the GCH has a SICK sunday brunch, complete with sushi, lobster, crab, desserts, and all the breakfast usuals, of course. it's listed on their site. but it is 69/person. oh and unlimited mimosas and bloody marys!!!

I used to go to brunch at this french restaurant next to Cabana in Forest Hills, but I heard it closed!!

Maybe there's another good place on Austin St or something.

I used to live in Forest Hills and I loooove that neighborhood!

I've been to the brunch at GCH. I'm not quite looking to go that nutso, just a nice breakfast or brunch menu somewhere.
