I just went to change my name at the SS office in Manhattan and they said I have to go to Queens. Is that right?

i feel your pain. i did the same & they are right you have to go Jamaica. I went as soon as they opened. i was online at 6:45 AM & was the 3 person online.

I actually went last Friday and it wasnt that bad, I drove in too and found parking on the street. Total wait was like 30 mins. It takes about 2 weeks to get your new card.

Yup, I went to Jamaica too. Got there at 9, found parking right away and didn't have to wait at all on line. Took about 20 mins from parking to getting back to my car. Got my card in the mail the next week. It's not as bad as you would think at all.

Yea, its just annoying cause I work in the city and i would have to drive there and then drive home and then take the train.
