question about car registration and inspection HELPPPP

my friend wants me to driver her car to a garage an hour away from where she lives for storage (long story)

anyway, the car does not have its inspection sticker and registration is past due

what would happen if a NYPD pulls me over? is it a ticket for teh owner? or do i get involved personally?

im wondering if i should do it.....

It sounds like it could be a sticky situation. I probably wouldn't do it.

Don't do it! My car which was registered in my dad's name had an expired inspection and I got a ticket going through the midtown tunnel. It is still on my record and makes my insurance a little higher 2 years later.
