question about wedding checks - thanks!

We received many checks as wedding gifts. One check was made out to us, first names only, and actually only our nicknames. Is it possible to deposit this check?

Another person gave us a check and forgot to write any names in, so that whole line is just blank. Can I write in my name? Or will the bank think this is fraudulent?

Did this happen to anyone else?

I want to avoid having to go back to them and asking them to write us a new check but if I have to, then I guess I have to...

you can just write it in yourself. i would just add your last name to the one with your nicknames and you should be good to go.

agreed a lot of ours were Bobby (instead of Robert) and Liz (instead of Elizabeth)
