Question about your Bridal Shower?

Did the colors of your bridal shower match the colors of your wedding?
I am planning my SIL's shower, her colors are light and dark purple. Do I stay with purples or do different colors so not to 'take away' from the wedding?
I am so confused! It's been a while!

My color was all different sorts of purple and yes, my bridal shower matched and I loved it

nope, my was all done in this theme... cake, invite, decorations... etc. and my wedding colors were wine and champagne!

totally separate and thought it was great.

when i did my sil shower i made sure it had nothing to do with her theme. i didnt want to take anything away from all her planning.

i did use here favorite color

I used those ballons too along with the matching napkins and plates./ cups. Anyways, my wedding theme was purple but my shower theme was all pink so now they did not match,

there was no color theme for my shower... it was similar to the beach theme for the wedding tho... flip flop/beach mat favors... the cake was a pair of flip flops...

My bridal shower were teal blue's and my wedding was dark purple and raspberry. I wanted something different just so I didn't get sick of purple lol.

My wedding colors were red, black and silver. For my shower, they stuck with mostly red, but different shades of reds and pinks. No black or silver.

i think the table flowers were purplish, but can't remember.

i didn't really care about the shower decor to be honest.

Yes, pink and turquoise. Of course those are my favorite colors so it makes sense.

Now my friend's wedding was red and her shower was turquoise. The problem with this was some people gave her stuff to use at the wedding and got turquoise, assuming that was her wedding colors.

My friends planned a whole autumn theme for my bridal shower since it was in the fall, and my sister got pink and yellow balloons for the whole room because she could have cared less about themes . None of it matched my wedding colors, which I was 100% fine with!

My wedding colors were black, eggplant and some shade of red/wine/burgundy that I was never able to actually put a name on... my bridal shower was white and green! I loved it!

My bridal shower had a fall theme and color scheme to it as it was in October and didn't have anything to do with our wedding colors. Our wedding was in the winter and had a winter wonderland theme to it

For my sister's shower I used bright colors as it was in the summer and her wedding colors were black and purple, made sure they didn't match

No. We didnt have a color theme. I had these for CPs & my cake was same color with Red. U know what i guess it does kinda match my wedding colors were Ivory Black & Red. lol

Im throwing one for my MOH and its not at all the same but the theme is something she also loves too

My wedding colors were black and white with a hint of pink. My mom did the bridal shower with mostly pink and little black and white in places, didn't take away from the wedding at all. And the invites were from storkie.com which didn't really have any kind of color scheme.
