question about your photographer?

How many of you got digital files that you could print on a disk.
I paid alot of money for my pictures and I just feel ripped off knowing that I do not have the rights to print them on my own and I am just curious who got digital files.

WE got digital files. I wouldnt book someone without that....it was really important to me.

Who did you use???

I was the same way. It was a deal breaker for me. I fell in love with Sherwood Triart but since they wouldnt give us Hi-Res images and the rights to them. I refused to have to go thru them for every little thing.

the studio who I am not so happy about gave me low-res so you would want to go to them for good quality prints...now they charge $10 per print...they are fing kidding me. My other photographer gave me hi-res. I was lucky that the studio allowed me to use my others photographers pictures in my album.

You know what...I heard that in a few years you may be able to request a CD. I cant remember if it was B Matt hew or not though.

ours includes the digital files w/rights to print whatever we want.

this was a must have for us when checking out photographers.

could u pressure them some more and ask for them? if they wont budge, say if u cant have them now...will they will release them a yr or 2 from now or maybe when u get your album (if u didnt). or can u maybe pay extra to get them???

I have high resolution disks and I have all rights to print them I bought them through Duet

We're getting a high res. CD or DVD (can't remember which) that we can print photos from.

we did, we were advised to make sure we get that in our contract.

That was definitely one of my requirements when choosing a photographer. I wanted to have complete access to my pictures and be able to make up my own prints whenever I wanted to. We went with Thomas Paul and I couldn't be happier with our decision!

We got our high-res cd after we ordered and paid in full for our album. If we had not gotten an album through them, we wouldn't have gotten the cd for another year after the wedding.
