Question for 11-21-02

Original post by stacedz

OK, thought this would be a good topic to start...

What would you have changed on your wedding day if you could have?

It can be anything to everything (weather, picked another DJ, changed your hair, etc). I also thought this would be a good topic for the newlyweds to read and get good advice from!

Re: Question for 11-21-02

First, I would have said nothing, but then after pondering it over, I have to say these insignificant things....but then I wonder if these things were as I would have liked, would I not still find something else....I loved every single minute of our wedding, but these are the things I wished would have happened differently.

1) I would have rented a dress instead of buying

2) I wish we had remembered to jump the broom

3) I would have reminded my photographer to take the fun shots that I wanted such as hubby and I in the limo, & the girls and I in the limo

4) Remember to check my lipstick

5) I would have gone ahead and paid the extra $$ and gotten the Rolls Royce that I really wanted instead of the stretch for me and hubby, I really wanted that car, but hubby said the extra money was not worth it

6) I would have nixed the gloves, I wore them to the alter and as soon as the pastor told us to hold hands I got rid of them and that was it.

7) I wish I could have invited more of my friends

8) I wish my photographer had taken pictures of our programs

9) I wish I had, had my photographer's assistant taken some getting ready shots of hubby, his brother took the ones we have.

10) I wish I had worn my veil a little higher on my head for my ceremony

Ladies I have have to say, these things are minor and they do not change the memory of the day one single bit. I love looking back, especially at the our video and our lovley photos. The memories I have of the day will never be changed by anything. It was absolutely spectacular, I could not have asked for more!!!

Our day was wonderful but, I would have changed the weather (it was cloudy and rained at times), had a must have photo list (now I think of pics I would have wanted as well) but I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way and finally not have been so nervous.

Re: Question for 11-21-02

same here girls - would have take more time to 'take in' the moment! we had an incredibly beautiful day, but i felt rushed since i refused to see him before the ceremony. we got stuck in traffic bc i NEEDED to take pics with the city skyline - go figure! missed my cocktail hr due to this... would have spent more time gretting people at my cocktail hr... would have worn my veil a little longer... overall, i cannot complain bc the night went so fast bc we had such a great time. like you all, i wish i could have had some loved ones there with us. i wish my dh's mother could have seen him get married. they were all there in spirit.
