Question for brides who used Heart & Soul...

I know Jill and Michael are not w/the band anymore, but that their names are/were on contracts of '08 brides who booked early enough. For me personally, I waited long to book them and by the time I did neither of them were booking additional dates. But, a friend of mine booked and both names are on her contract, and she paid extra for Jill. Does anyone know if those two are actually going to show up on the day of? I ask b/c I read a post on BHB about Michael just not coming on the day of....TIA!

honesty -- you really should contact the people at Franklin Wayne music and find out this info. cause in the end they are the only ones who can truly answer it.....since all you'll hear on this board is 'well i assume they would' or 'i heard they are'

call them up and find out!

Well as I said, it's not for me...they're not on my contract.

My friend did call Frank and he assured her that they would show up, but then I read elsewhere that, despite the same assurances, they didn't shower up at another bride's wedding (or at least Michael didn't). So I was just wondering if anyone had a good/bad experience, that way maybe I could relay it to her.

well its been awhile since they left the band---so its hard to say what they will do in the future. it all depends on what your friend's contract says--if it says they are supposed to be there and lists them....BUT says they have the right to put in replacements....then Franklin Wayne can do that. but if it doesn't say anything about how the band reserves the right to put in substitutes--then your friend should contact Franklin Wayne and let them know that if they don't have those 2 performers that were listed on the contract that day at the wedding--she'll be able to pursue legal action.

but like i said--i don't think anyone can give you must reassurance since who knows what might happen by the time your friend's wedding happens. i'd be more concerned with the wording of the contract than anything else to see if it allows them to not have to honor the performers on it

Yeah, my friend is a lawyer, so she has read over the contract and is aware of what it says (no substitutes except in the event of sickness, etc. ). I think we were both just wondering if they are actually in the practice of abiding by the terms of their contracts, since contacts get breached all the time and someone else said they breached her contract (e.g., if Michael didn't show up a month ago but he showed up somewhere last Saturday, that would at least be a little comforting to know he's still around in some capacity). But thanks for the advice, I'm sure she'll take it up with Frank Wayne at least one more time before her wedding actually happens.

That's a good idea - I should FM her. Thank you for your help.

The bride didn't really say much - I now realize it wasn't a BHB post it was actually her review. She said they just changed band members w/o notifying her but the band was still great. I don't think my friend really cares if Michael doesn't show up - but she will be extremely upset if Jill doesn't show b/c that is the only reason she booked them in the first place.

Just wanted to add that i got married in January and had both Jill and Michael on my contract. Jill showed up and Michael didn't. This was after i spoke to Frank and he said unless Michael had moved already (which he hadn't at the time of my weddin) he would be there. Nevertheless, the bad was great w/out him!
