Question for those of you who have your albums already. . .

Did you get your proofs bacK?

I thought I was going to get the ones we used for the album back, but we didn't & I didn't realize it untill we were home.

Is that normal?

We got out proofs back (even though some of them were marked up for cropping, etc).

How's the album?????

The album smells like glue & is really heavy! Other than that it is lovely!

Well mine is really heavy too but not sure if it smells like glue!! But I can check if you want although, I suspect mine will smell not surprisingly like the BOX it lives in

It's not like I was sniffing it--It was overwhelming--you can even smell it through the box. The car smelled like glue! I am hoping that will fade.

So, I guess I should ask for my proofs back?
As lovely as the Williston Park IHOP was, I hope they can mail them to me.

Mine smells like leather and is heavy

And I got all of my proofs back when I picked up my parent albums. Debbie at North Island said she usually waits until all albums have been received but I wanted some enlargements and I couldn't decide so she let me take my proofs early.

No, it smells different than my enlargements! It's glue I didn't think that part was odd, I was more concerned about the proofs. Juliet--it does smell like leather too!

I actually said to Jean --'Lori is going to be mad that I was nearby & didn't tell her', but we were planning on going to my parents house afterward to give them their album, but decided against it & went to Ihop instead. Sorry!
( I'm holding my parent's album hostage now, so they will come & visit me! )

My proofs were shipped back to me after the album came in.

I think it was about a week later.

I SAW some glue on mine (dried and it brushed off) but I didn't smell it. The only thing I can think of is that you really got it hot off the press. No one sat on it and didn't call you with this one.

They called me last friday, so you would think the glue dried by now! Maybe I am just sensitive to the smell of glue.

Anyway, I emailed them & thanked them & asked about my proofs, so I will see what they say.
I have the digital files, but I'd rather not print 50 pictres out, but I'd like to have hard copies of all my proofs.

And honestly, what are they going to do with them? They probably just forgot to give them back to you.

Yeah, I think they guy that gave us the album thought we got them back when we met with the album designer to proof evverything befor ebinding, but we didn't because there were some things that needed to be re-done.
