Enough about the in-laws. Let get back to our lives. Thus, the question for today is:
Where did you meet your husband?

We actually met at church. In the Youth Group. We were both part of the Rock Band that plays mass on Sunday evenings.

Well, I always said that I had to go to Italy to meet a husband since I couldn't find one here!! LOL :) But I didn't have to hop on the plane, all I had to do was hop on the train down to LITTLE ITALY and meet my hubby at the San Gennaro Feast!!!!! My friends and I were walking down the block and I didn't notice him the first time, but about an hour later, bumped into him again and this time we started talking and he gave me his number, which I wasn't going to use, by the way!!! But since one of his friends called my friend, I had to call him and we went out and the rest is history!!!
The funny thing is the night we met, my best friend said to everyone 'Deb met her husband' and I kept screaming NO I DID NOT!!! Little did I know!!!

We met in college. We were set up. My sorority sister and roomate at the time was dating his fraternity brother. I turned down the date several times as I had some bad blind date experiences. But finally I broke down. We met and never left each other's side after that.
We dated 3 1/2 years before getting engaged and got married one day after our five year anniv. of they day we met. Been married one year and can't imagine living life with anyone else.

We have a story of fate too ... I think! We met the first time at the gym. He said it took him 3 months to approach me - I was to into working out at the time and DID NOT want to be bothered by anyone. Well, he asked me a stupid weight question and then introduced himself. The next time, we said hello and he asked for my number. We went on one date and it was awful ... I was still into my old boyfriend and he just got out of a long term relationship. A year later, we bumped into each other at Penn Station ... he called me the next night, we went out that weekend and I don't think we've been apart ever since. 8 months later, engaged and 1 1 months married. He is still amazed that we met, married and bought a house in a two year time frame! I just love him to death and am so grateful for the 7:09 (I went to work early that day!!!!!) :-)

I met hubby at a bar. Kinda funny story. I was there to meet some guy I chatted with on the net. He was from Maryland, and was coming up to Long Island. He was going to be a specific bar, and told me his name is Gunther, and was going to be wearing a black hat and shirt. Well I saw a guy there with a blacjk hat/shirt, and it was my hubby, and asked him if he was Gunther, well, my friend did. I was too shy He is NO, Im not Gunther. Later on that night, my frined went up to Jay again, and sked him if he was Gunther, and after tat he started talking to me. Im leaving out more details, just trying to make this a shorter version. So I walked out leaving with Jay's #, and no Gunther. Although he was there. In fact, one of Jay;s best men talked about Gunther in his toast.

I met my hubby online in 1996. We were both in an AOL chatroom (LI over 30) and he im'd me. We then started talking on the phone (5 hours the first night)and online. We didn't meet in person for 4 months ( and only after we had decided to take a vacation together...as friends to share expenses). We had a blast on the vacation, he was a perfect gentleman and I was hooked! He called me the day after we got back and said that now that the hard part was out of the way would I like to go out on a date. We dated for 5 years and married in September 2001.
At the time this all started people thought I was crazy for going away with someone I barely knew, but it was well worth it.
Edited for spelling error!

I'm a bar person too but with a twist. He actually new my friend from growing up together, but I was into his friend. We all went out again, supposebly to hook me and the friend up, but I ended up liking him better and after some drama between him and his friend we ended up together. Dated for 8 years and the friend was an usher at the wedding so it all worked out!

I met my hubby at work. Our company took over a new building and so everyone who had been working at various offices in Queens and Nassau all came together at the new location. My hubby and I ended up working on the same floor. We spent weeks(and weeks) making sure we 'bumped' into each other as much as we could. I made MANY useless copies at the communal Xerox machine. Finally, one day I was talking to my boss' boss(who knew that I had a thing for Matt) when Matt came by to invite my department to happy hour. My boss' boss says 'I can't make it, but Jen will go!' I wanted to die, but I went and finally had my first realy conversation with Matt. We went to lunch together a few days later and then would stay at work late just talking to each other. We knew right away that we would be married and 3 years later we were.

At a party after one of the Corporate Challenge races in Central Park - 10 years ago!
I was standing at the bar getting a drink, and he came over and said Hi - turns out, someone had dared him to talk to me!
As the story goes, he and a buddy from work were chatting when another guy came over to them. He said he worked on the same floor in the same department as they did - saw them all the time, yet they had NEVER seen this guy before. Anyway, this guy is asking what line they are using to get the girls to talk to them and he insists you've got to have a 'good line'. Hubby says no, just go say Hi - if she wants to talk to you she will, otherwise she'll give you the brush-off. They go back and forth over this for a few minutes, and finally this other guy turns to the bar, points to me, and says, OK, prove it! So hubby walks over to me, says Hi, we start chatting, keep talking for the next few hours till we leave the party, and he never sees this kid again - not that night, not the next day or week at work. He and his buddy went searching the floor for him, and NEVER saw him!!!
I say it was one of God's angels bringing us together - he likes to say it was a Demon from H*ll.
heres my twist...I was nursing a hangover, but had to go out, b/c my oldest friend had come up from Atlanta...I saw a seat and planted my butt down...(hungover and my shoe broke on the walk over)
well we argue who sat next to who, but in any case we were sitting next to each other...and he pretended to put his arm around me (ie 50's date)...kidding with his friends...the rest is history...

We met on Halloween (4 years ago) Friends of mine rented a shore house for the weekend and we were going to a costume party at a local bar(that in the winter is a strip club) Richie Meyer was playing that night-- well we were at the house getting plastered and all of a sudden my college roomates then boyfriend now husband says lets call Jeremy-- so they do--he races down to a house full of costumed people (I Was Snow WHite) and we go to the bar--he doesnt say a word to me the whole night but his friend keeps telling me all this stuff (that he liked me,etc) meanwhile he never said any of it!!! He ended up stripping on stage --long story but if you have ever seen Richie Meyer perform you would understand--- we slept on the same pull out couch (never hooked up) took a walk on the beach the next morning and it's history--by Thanksgiving I knew he was the one--if it was up to me I would have proposed by New Year's-- Monday witll be 1 1/2 years since we have been married and Halloween makes 4 years since we met!!! Laura Out of the whole story I love the stripping part because it is SOOOO NOT like him!!!!

I met my hubby at a party I went to that my friend from HS was having.
Funny thing is that I haven't spoken to that 'friend' from HS in about 4 years. I met hubby through her 5.5 years ago.
