Question for you newlyweds!!

Now that all the planning is over - how do you feel? Let down? Happy that life is back to normal?

Re: Question for you newlyweds!!

I answered your other post, but I will again.
I am happy it is over!
I had an amazing day and wouldn't trade it, but am so relieved to be able to think of things other than just one day.
Now I am planning the rest of my life!

Re: Question for you newlyweds!!

So happy it is over! And it's totally over by now, since I have my enlargements, album and video!!!
I remember Dh being so pissed when we had to do that stuff since he thought after our wedding date the wedding related questions would be over!
We had to postpone and reschedule due to Dh's job so by time we were married we were just happy we finally got a chance to do it that we would never want to deal with that again.. lol
It was a perfect day, and things can't always be perfect all the time like that day was

Re: Question for you newlyweds!!

Happy that all the planning and saving is over, but sad that the day is over.

I would do the day again in a heartbeat.

But, I love living with my husband (we didn't live together before), and I love being married and coming home to him and just everything that comes along with being married.

Re: Question for you newlyweds!!

I was thrilled to get back to a normal life!!!! Looking back, the day goes so fast and we stress out over so much!!! I feel like all of life's other plans had to be put on hold while we were planning for the wedding. Now that the wedding is over, we can enjoy a 'normal' life!!

Re: Question for you newlyweds!!

huge sigh of relief that the planning is over. i miss the excitment and the creativity of it though. prepare yourself in advance to be a little let down after the wedding (because life may not be as busy) and you'll be fine.

I hated the planning and the stress and am happy to have my life back to normal. I would love to have the wedding day back again, but not the planning...

Re: Question for you newlyweds!!

I wish my day could be done over again, but the stressing, planning & saving, NO!

I am relieved it's over and I am planning on something just as great, if not better! A baby

Re: Question for you newlyweds!!

I loved the planning, and want to plan another one for this year!!

The only thing I don't want to pay for it again. I ahve been able to kkep myself busy with planning my house, and getting the things ready for that.

I always like to be busy, ever since finishing college, I ahve been taking classes for the CPA, then so as I finished that, I went to Grad School, and then I finished grad school 5 months before the wedding, so it ahs been strange to not have something occupy so much of my time.

I do enjoy spending that extra time with my husband though.

Re: Question for you newlyweds!!

All 3!

Let down as to how some people that were 'friends' treated us and our day. I miss the planning but I am sooooo glad that the stress is over and we can move onto other exciting things as well.

Re: Question for you newlyweds!!

Well you know how I feel and why because you were there
I am totally happy with my marriage, but the wedding was a total let down Too many things went wrong (things I had no control over), and there was WAY too much stress in planning (crazy MIL).
If I coulddo it all over again I would have done it 100% different... you know like run away to a Tropical Island with only a few close friends and family members.
For me the whole big wedding was just not worth it. With all of the build up, in the end it was such a disappointment and a let down...

I'm glad it is over. I spent a year planning for one day. Now I'm ready to do things that I have been putting off.

Re: Question for you newlyweds!!

Happy that the stress, frustration, annoyance are all over. Life back to normal before all the tension threw us off-track.

Sad that the excitement, hypeness, and the attention is not on me anymore.

Very, very sad that it's truly all over. I've poured my heart, soul, finances, hard work, sweat, time, blood to making it a success. I've suffered post wedding depression that I looked forward to my big day all my life and now it's all over. I'm back in thearpy to work out my depression. Life has just begun toward a new chapter with married life beginning on our wedding day.
