Question: Was it as magical as you had hoped?

Question: Was it as magical as you had hoped?

Everyone keeps asking me 'What are you looking forward to the most?' I always answer with walking down the aisle and seeing Brian at the end of it. Was it as magical as you had hoped? Were you able to really savor the moment and feel the magic everyone talks about?

It really was surreal, and went by so fast! But, the thing that really did it for me was having my veil over my face for the walk down the aisle. I had been an MOH and BM several times before, so I had walked down that aisle many times...but when the veil went down over my face I thought, OMG, this is it! I'm the BRIDE!!

It was amazing to walk down and see all of our friends and family and then to see my beaming DH at the end! It was a special moment

I'd have to agree- it WAS magical, but it went by SO fast....I remember being so excited when I saw DH at the end of the aisle- I remember my mother actually pulling me back and telling me not to walk so fast!

I think what was just as magical was our first dance. I just remember looking at him thinking, 'We did it- we actually did it!' and kissing him. That was a special moment for me.

in a word: yes

For me it was two-fold. First, just being on my dad's arm (I'm a big Daddy's girl) was so incredibly moving for me. It really felt powerful to be walking down the aisle on the arm of my Dad, to be given over to the man who was about to become my husband.

I felt like I was in slow motion - actually the walk down the aisle did not go by quickly for me, quite the contrary. I felt like it was endless!

And I had been so sure I was going to bawl all the way down the aisle, but I didn't at all (which surprised EVERYONE) Yet seeing Anthony waiting for me with this huge grin on his face, a few tears in his eyes - well that nearly broke me down, and is a moment I will cherish forever

So yes, it truly was as magical as I had dreamt, maybe even more so.

Yes, it was, although I couldn't see DH until I got to the very end of the aisle - all the people standing up were in the way of my view of him. But it was probably a good thing that I couldn't see him because I would've started bawling if I did! It was awesome to walk down the aisle though - I just wish the aisle were longer because the walk was over so fast!
And at the reception, Marie from Wild Rose video rewinded the video and showed me the look on DH's face when he saw me - it was priceless! His jaw dropped and his eyes were wide open

I feel so guilty saying this, but I was so unemotional on my wedding day. It is not that I don't love DH, but I was very calm on my wedding day. I didn't cry, I didn't shake. I remember EVERYTHING! Sometimes I am proud of that and sometimes I feel guilty that I wasn't as emotional.

It was NOT the best day of my life. Don't get me wrong, it was beautiful. It was just the start of my NEW life. I would be very sad if my wedding was the best day of my life. What would I have to look forward to after that?

To me it was very magical. As soon as I walked into church, I got teary eyed and when my dad gave me to my DH I started to cry too. It did go by very fast but I remember and enjoyed every minute of it.

I feel the same as the above poster..I didn't cry at all...it didn't go by that fast for me..I remember everything..DH and I saw each other before the ceremony and I think that helped a lot...

I loved that moment! That was the only time I cried that day. My father and me started to walk down the aisle and I lost it until I was DH beautiful smile, I stopped crying instantly.
In our wedding video you hear DH telling the best man, OMG she looks so beautiful

It was incredible. I thought I would be teary eyed, but I was so happy and excited, I couldn't stop smiling.
I just focused on him the entire time.

It was an amazing feeling...it does go by fast but I still remember DH's face when the curtain rose and I walked down the aisle...

Me too.
I saw him before the ceremony for pics. The first time we saw eachother is when we cried. I am so glad we saw eachother before! it was still magical walking down the aisle but not as scary!

That was the first time we saw each other....loved, loved, loved that moment. The walk down was slow but with everyone standing up I didn't see Brian until the end of the aisle. One of the best moments of the day!

the most amazing part of the wedding for me was taking pictures after the ceremony together. it was the first time we were 'alone' on the wedding day and it was when it finally hit me that he was my husband. i wish that had lasted longer. we had an early morning ceremony and i was up at 4:45 after very little sleep so honestly by the time the first dance rolled around around 9pm we just wanted to leave and go to sleep!

wish someone had told me to drink red bull

not to sound cheesy but my wedding was the most magical wonderful day of my life....
I don't see much topping it...
It will be a day i will remember all my life...

I am more emotional abou tit now though than on the day itself...
It went too fast, i had too much of a good time to be emotional

YES!

It was absolutely magical!
All the planning, the stress, the chaos beforehand...It was worth it.
When the day came, I was completely calm. I knew I was marrying the man of my dreams.
Dancing together for the first time as husband and wife- what a feeling.
We TRULY enjoyed every solitarty second of our Wedding.
The happiest day of my life thus far...
