I like the weekend in Guerneys suggestion but have a back up in case it's an out of town member that wins - like an amex gift cheque.

have you read the responses to the same question on the BHB board?? They want free limos, a honeymoon, matching bottoms to the t-shirts!!

I definatly think the prize should match the board that it was posted on!!

I do not like the Gurneys thing b/c its probably only good certain days.... and what if you cant go etc....

GC are definitely better or camera, or camcorder

GC for Home Depot would be great, since I ahve been there at least 3 times a week in the last month!!!

Hmm...tough call on the prize since a bride to be, newly married, mommy to be or long time mommy would probably all appreciate different things. Maybe set aside a budget and then decide after the millionth post?

Actually, I disagree...I think we'd ALL appreciate some of the suggestions that were already mentioned, regardless of our marital or parenthood 'status'

A four day cruise, spa getaway or a plasma TV would be appreciated by one and all, I think...JMO.

i like the amex gift cert idea as well. if you get a specific store one it may be hard for some to use as we live in different areas etc.

I like the American Express gift certificate idea. I also liked the ideas of Lowe's or Home Depot (because I will be moving into my new home next month) but like Shamma said, some poeple may not have a use for it...

I've been requesting a scanner all along. I like that idea and also Wacky's idea of the prize coinciding with the board it was posted on.

Also maybe you can give the winner a prize of their choice:

spa day
dinner for 2
or gift certificate (for a certain amount) to Lowe's etc.

I agree that an AMEX gift certificate would be best. Not only would you be able to accommodate all the different interests of the different boards, but you could also show you love the out-of-town brides and newlyweds too.
