Jenn- quick Q- do you use any kind of white wine or cooking white wine? I'm gonna make this tonight!

DONT use cooking wine! i mean you can but its sooo much saltier. When it comes to cooking with wine, the rule of thumb is easy: 'Do not cook with a wine you would not drink.'

I buy my white wine from Costco-usually a zinfandel or a chardonnay. Cheap but drinkable. Cooking wines VERY high in sodium and this dish already has that going on with the bacon.

Oh good so you know. I did use cooking wince once before I sttarted subscribing to cooking magazines and watching the shows and it was LOUSY. You have to water it down which defeats the purpose. But any dry white wine will do.

I make this ALL the time, FH raves about it to his friends. It's nice and creamy and requires no dairy, LOVE it
