Re: Radom Poll regarding friends
I'll answer first.I lost 2 good friends and to be honest I never really looked back. I see them for their true colors now and have moved on. I was upset then, but now I realize we were probably never as good of friends as I thought we were in the first place

I didn't have too many close friends to begin with, so I didn't lose any during the process. I actually gained some friends thanks to this site

Re: Radom Poll regarding friends
I didn't lose any. My husband did. One of his GM RSVPed no. We thought it was a joke. DH called him. No answer. He texted him or emailed my hubby saying he would be in Italy during the wedding. This is someone he knew since hs. Someone he thought was a close friend. Someone who said YES to being a part of the BP.WT F!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so messed up.Two other people he is friends with didn't show to our wedding after saying yes, and never got back to him about why or what happened. I dont think he really considers them friends anymore.

No, but it could've easily happened. There were people who pissed me off greatly. Some of them I'm just NOW forgiving.ETA: Shauna- I love your avatar pic. So cute!

Re: Radom Poll regarding friends
I didn't lost one BECAUSE of wedding stress or anything like that. But I did have a very close guy friend who was always a Negative Nancy about things, and everything came to a head about 10 months prior to the wedding...I couldn't take his stank attitude anymore, and we had been friends since high school, so I dealt with it long enough.I blew up on him. It was bad. A lot of words were said by me that I DO think he deserved, but I also know it hurt him.
Oh well.
He deactivated his FB for awhile and I thought he was dead. But he wasn't. He re-activated his FB in the spring of this year and I realized that he was still my 'friend' on there. I wasn't on FB too much then, and at some point he must've seen people post about my wedding and that was that - he deleted me from his FB. He's the kind that take FB way too seriously.
But he's still alive, because a mutual FB friend posted something about her dog getting off it's leash and he was lost, and this jerk replied to her post with something like 'good luck finding him, he's a purebred, no one will rightly turn him in'...this popped up in my newsfeed! Miserable SOB! On the bright side, the chick found her dog...

'good luck finding him, he's a purebred, no one will rightly turn him in'
OMG that's such a disgustingly nasty thing to say!!
I didn't lose any friends but DH lost one (and realized that a few others weren't as good as he thought htye were). The one that was lost forever was supposed to come be our witness and sign the ketubah for us ... he told us since day one he'd def be there. A few weeks before the wedding, i realized he never got his invitation (it was sent but 'returned to sender') so we just gave him the info on FB. He then sent me (not DH ... even though i'd never met this guy in my life!) a private FB email saying he wont' make it. DH tried contacting him to find out if he was kiddign or not but dind't hear back from that guy until after the wedding (and that was an IM saying 'yo' which DH ignored). Anyway yea, i think that guy's off the friends list now.

Re: Radom Poll regarding friends
I lost one during the process, but I don't think it had anything to do with my wedding. My closest guy friend got back together with his stupid ex-girlfriend, and he stopped talking to me because she didn't trust me. Ummm, hello, I was ENGAGED and very happy (and still am happy to this day)!!!! I was really upset about it because DH and I were going to ask him to be in our BP.

I haven't spoken to my dad in many, many years (personal reasons), and he wasn't invited to my wedding because I knew he would be a total d0uchebag. I have been 100% happy with my decision despite my siblings saying I would regret it!

Re: Radom Poll regarding friends
I cut two friends out of my life. I had known them for a very long time but it was time to part ways. They were basically 'toxic friendships' and I just didn't need that anymore. Also, we were at completely different stages- they were into drinking and partying and hooking up.

I lost one friend but it really had nothing to do withthe wedding, I just started seeing who she really was around the time I was planning the wedding. I'm glad she's out of my life.

I lost one person who was a member of the BP due to her very rude behavior. It's sad, but I don't regret it at all.

Re: Radom Poll regarding friends
I lost one friend. I have mixed emotions. Sometimes I'm sad and other times I'm not. I think I miss her from the way she used to be like when we were first friends, but around the time we stopped being friends she totally changed and I'm glad to be rid of that drama.

Re: Radom Poll regarding friends
Yes.We got engaged at thanksgiving and by February I was no longer talking to my favorite person from college.
She just up and was like 'I don't want to continue our friendship' with no explanation.
She later got in touch with me and was like 'Well I'm glad you lost a lot of weight this year and got engaged but I don't want to hear about it.'
I couldn't believe this.
I wouldn't take her back as a friend if she begged.
