On Saturday, DH and I were driving to the store, and the song 'Higher' by Creed came on. I love that song, but immediately, I was thinking about my jerk of an ex-boyfriend, b/c that was one of his fave songs.
Do you girls have a song that you automatically link to someone especially an ex?

Higher by Creed and 'I Knew I Loved You' by Savage Garden I link to my 1 ex-boyfriend.
Anything by Howie Day or Guster I link to another ex. I also associate him w/ the Humpty Dance And NOT cuz of what you think I had actually never even heard that song til he made me listen to it Some 80s child I am, I know!
Anyway, I was thinking of these songs last night on my way to sleep and figured I'd ask you girls, too!

yes! I had a rough time in college with someone and I was so upset I decided to drive home for the weekend and I will survive came on the radio and I blasted it and sang on the top of my lungs. Every time I hear I will survive I think of that person and my rough time but not in a negative way, it's almost empowering. Wow that was deep
This reminds me that that song is a song that my DH hates! He told me that about 10 years ago, he and his ex had broken up and for some reason, she still decided to attend HIS sister's engagement party. She got drunk, and she had the DJ dedicate that song to him, and she stood up there and sang/screamed it to him at the top of her lungs! What a psycho! No wonder he hates that song
