Real Dolls - figured to spice things up

Real Dolls - figured to spice things up

Well Dh watched a documentary finally that I had taped for him about Real Dolls. These dolls are basically a doll that you use to (trying to be polite) have alone time with. They can cater to your tastes and are really realish looking. They even have a male doll (currently not being sold)!

The documentary basically shows who is a Real Doll client. They seemed to show only people who really have a social problem and hardly interact with humans. We felt (dh and I) yea these people truly need the doll, it is like a safety blanket for them. They sleep with them, do their business with them, actually take them on car rides, dress them up, etc - they treat them like REAL people. But then we got talking and said I wonder how many people who don't want a prostitute buy one of these? Then we got into what happened if DH had one or have one.

So my question is: what would happen if you found out if your DH had one in the past but it is no longer in 'his life'?

Or even better what would happen if he still had one and you never knew?

I attached a pic of one of the dolls - so insane!

They actually did a movie about this that starred Ryan Gosling----called 'Lars and the Real Girl'

I LOVED the movie and it actually was really funny and kind of sad at the same time...about how he really acts like his new GF is REAL and the towns people decide to go with it for his mental sanity.

I saw that documentary you are talking about--and seriously each one of those guys were whacked in the head. Those dolls average about $2K or so--one guy had like 7 or 8 of them and set them up for his bday to show his GF. That is like $14-16K that you spent on DOLLS so you can have sexy times with it. Not to mention buying them clothing and everything. Totally insane to me.

ETA: i honestly have no idea how i'd react if DH had one before or had one hidden...just cause i know he could never do that--they creep him out. i would probably demand he get rid of it...its too weird to me

Hey to me its not a biggie if you tried it out but if you spent 3-5k your not trying it out your investing IoI As much as I am a very open person I am not sure if I could handle this. Why? well you can get it to look like the perfect female, fit and the sized boobs you want, eyes hair etc. I couldn't handle the perfect female for my hubby sitting in a closet. I am all for private time but that is just too much of a slap in my face since I am not perfect looking at all.

I have seen a documentary similiar to that in the past. It is really mind boggling but hey whatever tickles their pickle

Now if I ever found out Dh had one prior to our relationship I truly do not know how I would react. I guess my main concern would be where is the doll now?
