Realizing issues/imperfections w/your gown on the big day

Realizing issues/imperfections w/your gown on the big day

In looking at my pics, I see now that I had a wrinkle....something going on right under my bust. Like a slight crease! Not in all the pics, but I guess depending on how I was standing. I can do nothing now...but how annoying! Anyone notice these little oddities? I did lose weight just before and needed to have the hem done again; I guess the top got a little big. Oh well.

Please feel free to add yours so I don't feel so stupid! LOL

And here it is:

I'll play this game. I hated my alterations with my gown. In my pics the top of my dress was not conformed to me correctly and you can see down my dress (not so much in my pics, just in person, but in some pics there was boobage - see below). Then there was the crease. I pressed this issue with them MANY times. Well they told me when it was pressed it would be gone. They pressed it, it was still there. See pic below (and almost every freakin shot!). They sucked!

Yeah I noticed after I don't quite like how the crinoline causes the bodice to bunch a bit....

My dress fit me perfectly and I still had similar issues. I don't know how you can avoid it except by standing still all day! Really, I think it's normal with strapless dresses, it's either so tight you can't breathe and it creases in the middle of the bodice or it's too loose and it falls down and creases at the waist.

Although it fit great in the morning, after hours of bending over, dancing, moving around, it would crease at the waist:

Nothing I could do except go to the bridal suite and hike it up a bit.

Also, the skirt looked pinched around the embroidered areas. That I noticed more than anything else.

Oh well, I'm the only one who really noticed so it's fine by me. I still felt beautiful.

I didn't have issues with my gown, it was my VEIL!! After my Dad lifted it to kiss me, he put it back over my face, but one side of it is not totally down. So in all of my pics during the ceremony, i feel like it is just terribly obvious.........

Mine did that bunching up thing in the front too. I don't have a pic here, but I know exactly what you girls are talking about!

OMG! TOTALLY! I had MAJOR issues with my alterations...the sleeves kept falling down and talk about 'boobage'....
I have absolutely NO GOOD bridal portraits because all you see is clevage.

Mine was too loose on top and slipped down just enough to annoy me in pictures, so don't fret, you are not alone.

I think it was too loose on the top - or it looks that way in some pictures. I'm also hating my headpiece - I wish I'd gone bare with just a plain veil.

No! JanuaryBride you look great; I love the headpiece!

It's funny, though...someone mentioned a veil issue. I didn't walk down with mine over my face because I KNEW my dad would put it back totally whacked! LOL!

ugh..I had a weird boob issue also with my dress and my veil was screwed up during the ceremony. I will post pics when I get my computer back. I REALLY think these are the things that no one really notices except us..after the fact when there's nothing we can do about it!

My straps look loose in a lot of my proofs, but they didn't slip at all throughout the day, I can't understand it. It's annoying to see though in the pics.

lana,

so funny you posted this... i was looking at my proofs the other day--- i hated how when i wasn't standing stick straight, i had a gap at the back of my dress, by my lower neck---

also, my false eyelashes started coming off--- so there are a few pics where i look like i have a small spider on my eyelid!

i am tempted to cut those ones up...
