I hate hate HAAAAATE our bank, Ive had enough with them charging me ridiculous fees....I need a nice bank-not one that wants all my money

You need to join a credit union.....
Bethpage FCU is open to all Long Island residents
Nassau Financial FCU caters to members who Live Work Worship Go to School or Volunteer in Nassau County
Nassau Educators FCU has weird membership, you'd have to call them to see...

as of today i despise my bank [commerce] so no love there. my other bank [astoria] was going to save the day but I got there at 3:45 and they close at THREE during the week. ?!?!??!? So I hate all banks today
I do however love my savings account with ING. its online and has great rates

I would recommened HSBC or M&T bank. I am with M&T now and tho I dont really use their debit card their rates are not bad..only 50 cents per transaction.

same here -- we had North Fork until the beginning of March. So no opinions on Capital One just yet......but so far so good. Actually there online banking is so much better than North Fork

DH has had North Fork acoounts forever... We have them for his kids too. I haven't had any problems with the switch to Capital One as of yet. I would recommend them! We also have accounts at MCU- Municipal Credit Union- which is for city workers... They sukk!! Do not recommend them! Good luck, find the right bank is a pain in the azz!
