Re: Recommend your ice cream maker please.
Here is one that says its fully functional, and you just add the ingredients to the chamber and it makes it for you, but I don't know if it means that you add the ice cream 'Base' that you have to make before hand or if you just add the ingredients all in at once. For the 'Base' it would mean that you have to boil the milk and stir in the other ingredients. I am going to go out on a limb here and say that the reason why you need to have the milk or some liquid going into the ice cream to be hot, is to melt the sugar. I am thinking that the sugar granules would be too large and create a weird feeling in the ice cream texture once it is frozen. You can try it, but I am pretty sure boiling or heating up the components before freezing the ice cream or using it in an ice cream maker may just be the only way to get it done. That is just my opinion. I don't really know the science behind it all.
You can find very easy vanilla ice cream recipes for bases of any kind of ice cream you can think of. There is one recipe that has very few ingredients (that I posted not so long ago) and it was done in 10 minutes and all I had to do was put it into the fridge to rest for a few hours or overnight. :) Happy Ice Cream Maker hunting! I hope this helped somewhat. :)
