does anyone know if the lower mortgage rates apply for refi's too? is anyone considering refinancing?
i know i should call my bank, but last time i tried to do this when rates dropped they NEVER picked up the phone

Hey.. we actually just refinanced... i believe re-fi rates are always a little higher than the reg interest rates. We were able to get 5% for a 30 yr fixed w/ 1 point. The rates are constantly changing so you have to act quick and make a decision. Even if they go down more, i can't see the re-fi rates going too much lower than that... but i guess anything can happen.

Yes, you definitely can. My girlfriend just refinanced on their home in NJ and got an amazint rate!
