Hey ladies, i'm off to the bank today to deposit my wedding checks and i have a few questions....
If it is written out to Mr. and Mrs. how do I sign the back? My SIL said she did... her maiden name-married name, and it was fine. SHe said she was still able to deposit them all into her account (with her maiden name on it)
If the check is made out to just Mrs. (married name) how do I sign that? since my name didnt change yet....obviousy, can i still sign it with my old name?
Any tips regarding anything related to this would be hepful. I could ask at the bank to be sure but it would help me to be prepared, TIA!

Make sure both of you sign the checks.
And you'll probably have to deposit them into a joint account (if you have one) since both names are on it.
Also I just signed my married name since that's what is on the check.

I didn't sign any checks. The bank stamped them all 'For deposit only'

We signed all of them jointly, as they were made out to every possible combination. We opened a joint savings account for them all and put them in there. But the bank didn't give us a hard time about my name not having changed yet. So you should be fine.

I worte for deposit only and on the next line the acount #. no name at all. we opened a joint checking account prior to getting married so his name was on it and the last name matched that, even if it was mrs. with his last.
when you bring that many checks to the bank, they know the deal. I spoke to the bank though prior, i use wamu, they asked that we call before coming since it was a lot of $ and checks. and they told us when was a good time to come in.
