Has anyone ever done this? My driver's license expires this Saturday, on my 29th birthday. I mailed it in probably a week ago b/c there was no way I was gonna have time to go to the DMV to renew. I just checked my back account and the check hasn't even cleared yet! I am getting worried b/c it's not like I have a temp license like I would had I gone to the DMV. God forbid I get pulled over, I am SO screwed now! Do you think I should try calling? I feel like I'll be on hold forever calling the upstate DMV office where it was sent...

Hmmmm. I don't know dude. I would just watch how you drive, chances are you wont get pulled over. Just watch yourself and maybe give them a call on your lunch break?

I drove with an expired license for a month (I did have the new but it was lost somewhere in my house). Go to the motor vehicle's website it should have more details. I completely forgot how I did it, but you shouldn't worry about getting pull over and if you do I am sure the Officer will give you a break (if he is a male).

I was just on the site and it said it can take up to 4 weeks to get it back and if you need to drive you should go in and do it. Sorry

Yeah, Lea, thanks. I went on the website, too, and even called. The lady told me I need to go into a DMV like today and renew it. The thing I am worried about is that I won't get my check back that I mailed them! She told me they'd mail it back to me but I am not so sure... GR this is so annoying!
