What do you guys do a new room every weekend .

The dining room really is like butta it's beautiful . The wood floors really make the room and the decorations you have up are perfect.I have been in my house for almost a year and I am still scared to hang pictures. I don't want to ruin the perfect walls. I should call you and have you talk me through my hammering a nail in the wall anxiety attack

I would paint the molding white. I think it would look more complete than if you stained it. I have the same issues with the new windows we put in I'm not sure if we should pain them or leave them natural. I like the painted look better but people keep saying once you paint them you can never go back to the original wood same thing with the brick. I wish people would just shut up .

Your home really is looking 1000 times (based on lif maybe I should say multiplied ) better. You must be so happy with all the changes .

Helen, it looks greattttt!!!!!!!! You guys have done a wonderful job so far! Quick question - would you mind telling me where you got your buffet? We've been looking for one.

Lol…..girl I wish we did one every weekend!! if you saw my response on LIF, I didn't have a kitchen or dining room for over a year!!! It was not easy!! Good thing I had wedding planning to keep me occupied instead of nagging Mike last year!! (this year is a different story….I can nag away bwahahahaha!!).

My dining room was actually done over 6 mths ago, and we're just thinking about molding now. Hence me pestering you guys asking about molding lol……in the next few weeks hopefully we'll be done w/ our front room and I can put my computer back in there…..other than that, our next project is gutting our second floor (gulp)….we need to change the layout- right now it has 2 bedrooms & a half bath, so since Mike is on furlough (mandatory layoff time from local 3) til June 2nd, he might as well do some work on the house!! (here's where my nagging comes in handy!

And that whole ruining the walls phobia….Mike has the same issue!! After putting up all the sheetrock he didn't want to put any nails in it!! I had to talk him into hanging up that wrought iron candle thing over our buffet in the D.R…..it was leaning against the wall on top of the buffet for months, I finally told him if you don't put it up on the wall and I light those candles I could start a fire……which he realized would be way more detrimental to his precious sheetrock than a few harmless nails would. So if you need to, you can call my sheetrock anxiety hotline if you need me to walk you through it…..its very liberating banging that nail in the wall

Its made by Liberty Furniture, Martha's vineyard is the design. If you do a google search by that, I believe there's a discount furniture place in NC that sells it……we went through Direct Buy since we're members there. So it was a little cheaper. I've also seen really nice black buffets in the JC Penney catalog. My friend got her furniture from them, and her DR set is black mixed w/ a dark wood like cherry. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful since I don't remember the exact price of the buffet.

What about staining the moldings the same color of the floor, almost looks like a cherry color from the pics.

If you paint them white, then you can always add cornices and crown molding to the ceiling to tie it all in together.
