REPOST: QUESTION FOR LONG ISLAND TEACHERS
Sorry to repost but I'm not getting any responses on NWR.I'm just wondering do you know how long it takes to hear back from the school district after the 1st interview??
Someone I know has been waiting about 3 weeks to be called for the 2nd round (which is to give a mock lesson). He thought he did very well on the 1st round but still has not heard back. He has not gotten a rejection letter yet either. Does this mean he is still in the running???

Re: REPOST: QUESTION FOR LONG ISLAND TEACHERS
I think it depends on the district. His best bet is to call and ask if he is still being considered.

Re: REPOST: QUESTION FOR LONG ISLAND TEACHERS
I can't remember the time frame between the interviews...but I sent my resume in in Feb...and the interview was probably between March and April...and I was officially hired in the beginning of May...they had a lot of time with me...b/c it was a retirement...so it was slow...but they can move very fast if they want...
sorry thats not an answer

Re: REPOST: QUESTION FOR LONG ISLAND TEACHERS
Well he called and left a message that he wanted to know his status and he's gotten no call back or letter? It's for Half Hollow School District.

Re: REPOST: QUESTION FOR LONG ISLAND TEACHERS
it depends on how much interviewing is going on. sometimes they call the next week, or sometimes it's a few weeks later. if it gets much past this 3 weeks, i'd say they're not calling (it's happened to me 1 million times - no matter how well i thought i did
)eta: i went on many interviews without ever receiving a rejection letter.

Re: REPOST: QUESTION FOR LONG ISLAND TEACHERS
It does depend on the district, and how busy they are.It cant hurt to call and ask the status of his interview.
Is the position for this year, if they need to fill th eposition right away, then they should call quickly, but if it is for next year, it may take some time.
