Resturaunt review! Share yours!

Hello girls! Dh made reservations two weeks in advanced to take me to Buddakan in the city. We had heard about it through word of mouth from a bunch of people!

The decor is very romantic, candles lit everywhere, the downstairs has ginormous chandeliers that lit up the room, it was pretty cool!

We had a server named Gloria and she was by far an amazing waitress! She really took her time with us and recommended some great dishes.

I got a drink called Revive...tequilla, lemon and fresh mint!!! Probably the smoothest and most dangerous drink Ive ever had lol I had three!

For apps we had bao buns YUMMM and shrimp with shallot dim sum!!! Both very fresh and tasty!!!

For dinner I had the fillet with this amazing buttery cream sauce! I know I know ( this was a cheat day ) DH had the lamb and we ordered a side of the house rice.
The food was amazing, and cooked so perfectly. I had to stop myself from eating!!! The manager came over to us and asked if everything was okay! I really liked that!

Just when I thought I was done....I look to my left and saw this couple sharing what I call 'heaven' I had to ask what it was and it was called 'Crying chocolate' OMG So dh insisted i get it and IM so glad I did!!! It was probably the best desert Ive ever had...and we had had PLENTY of deserts in our day haha!!

So girls...if your looking for a really nice place to go def check out this place.

LOVE Buddakan! We did my 30th birthday there, at the big communal table downstairs!

I am taking DH to Matsuri which is right across the street tomorrow for his birthday - I'll give it a review afterwards (if it's good.... I hope)!

I love Buddakan...DH and i frequent it about once a month and every time it is different. My other favorite spot in that area is Morimoto which is owned by iron chef Masaharu Morimoto and it has the best sushi i have ever tasted plus their sushi is reasonably priced esepcially for NYC but they have other food too. We have been there quite a few times and the food has always been unreal. The decor is really amazing too. It looks like draped panels throughout the entire ceiling but it is really poured concrete. Then they have a two story wall created out of individual glass bottles. I highly recommend it!!! Dylan Prime is the best place for steak in Manhattan IMHO of course haha. The ambiance is great and they have individual wine lockers which is a nice touch. If you go definitely get the crab cake!!! It is unbelievable!
