A few non-gifters

A family of 4 gave us $100

An American Express gift card that's impossible to use any where. It has $200 on it but I have a feeling someone gave it to them because if you have the $200, why put it on a gift card??

And the best gift is from one of FH's long time friends who is weird and anti-social. He's also Chinese. He gave us a banner that has two cartoonish looking Chinese people on it and it says something in Chinese and then in English. I don't even remember what it says. I should post a picture of it though. It's hilarious.

cant u use the gift card practically anywhere?? or its only in specific places u can use it...

Well it's an American Express gift card so a lot of places don't accept AE or they don't accept any type of AE, Visa, Chase, etc gift card. Also the amount is always a problem on those types of gift cards if the merchant doesn't let you use 2 forms of payment to make up the difference.

NOTORIOUS problem with these cards. Vanilla Visa is the same deal. So you can't really use them in many places... then after some time they start charging you for not using it and essentially take all their money back. then you can't really use it for less or more than the purchase amount....
these cards are not really regulated and they are just crap! i seem to get them all the time!!

I got a few for my wedding too... they were useless!!!
