One wine glass from a couple--the guy was in our BP, and DH was in their wedding. No card, no cash--just a wine glass.

ETA: We also got:

-A couple of non-gifters
-A lottery ticket (didn't win anything)
-Several $20 gifts, whether they were cash or actual gifts. Shockingly, all of those were from people who were MARRIED and knew the expense of weddings!

...The wine glass still gets under my skin though for some reason!

We had 4 non-gifters but other than that we had a few couples on DH's side give us $50.

My DH's grandmother gave us 60 bucks from her, his Uncle and his Aunt. They are super poor living in Western NY.

In that instance, I would have rather they gave us nothing instead of thinking that 20 bucks a head would have covered their place setting.

I think that came out wrong, I think I was looking for unnecessary. Forgive me, I'm pregnant and totally all over the place. Weirdly enough, I love when I get handmade things from her. She is the NYS fair crocheting winner 5 years in a row, my DH calls her the Lance Armstrong of crocheting.

From a family of 4 (DH's cousin's ex-wife plus her 3 grown girls who she cried and begged to bring until we said OK) Well, they gave us a (regifted, I think) ugly glass vase with these tacky flowers. YUK!!!

we got $600 from a family of 9 ... this wouldn't be THAT terrible except that it's the parents, and 4 kids (all adults) along with three of their spouses ... the 3 married kids got their own invitations .... they didn't even give a card on their own, just tacked their names onto the parents' card.

Adult married kids tackin their name on to their parents card has happened to me too!!... However, just because its a family of 9, I wouldnt expect $900 or more... $600 is still a lot of money, unless you are SUPER close with that family....JMO

a whole family of non gifters (3 couples) and a family of 6 that gave $300 and they took a ton of wedding favors. It was one per family or couple. They took atleast 6 or 7 favors. Their teenage daughters took a set each as well. My favor was a set of 4 ice cream bowls....I hope they are enjoying all 24 of them =)

And DH's cousin gave us a $20 bill in the card and shes getting married next year..she lives with FH in their mom's old apartment and pay 0 rent!!! for an apartment in Midtown Manhattan!

I got a bag of Fritos at my work shower but that was a joke because i had been craving them and said after my wedding I was going to sit in my wedding dress and eat a whole bag of them (which I did)

Yes he can read, I think they were more for me in hopes that I would finally learn sign language but DH only uses it when he's around his deaf friends

Colleen! I didn't get a gift from my MOH either...and she's my sister!!!! She told me 'IOU'.

1 other no gifter and $100 gift card to Bloomingdales when I gave her a $250 check for her wedding a year before!!! And she wonders why I don't like her (cousin I HATE)!

O! And I forgot to add...no gift from our best man, who's son was our Ring Bearer and is also DH's uncle!!!!! Not even a card!!!!

I am still confused about this one...

my brother's friend came and gave us a card with scratch off lotto tickets... which... normally I would somehow be okay with.

Except for it was a $2 scratchoff and a $1.



I kept checking all around me to make sure nothing was lost.

and one family of 5 gave us a check for a really odd amount with change - I can't remember exactally but it was something like $485.76
