Re: San Francisco?

We took a trip to CA that included San Francisco/Los Angeles and then Vegas.

We stayed in South San Francisco, it was a little bit outside of the big city. It wasn't too hard to get around and it was beautiful. We didn't stay anywhere fancy b/c we didn't want to spend the money, but if you have the funds, definitely stay in the city. It's so freaking nice there. I LOVEEE California. I want to grow old there.

There are a lot of hotels in the Financial District. Do you think I should shoot for staying there?

Yes, Financial District to me would be perfect. You are right on the water, you aren't too far from the Giant's stadium, AT&T park, so you could catch a game if you wanted. You can walk to all the other little parts, Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz (take a ferry) , you have china town near you and ltitle italy. I think if you stayed in the FD it would be nice. :)

I am so uber jealous. I love CA so much ,and I miss it. I want to move there :( DH wants to move to NV b/c of the heat. I hate the hot weather, but I will tolerate it for CA lol Have fun :)

You also MUST take a few hours and visit Muir Woods. One of the most beautiful places we went to in CA.

i have been 4 times for business, just got back last week. I sayed at the Clift Hotel! Loved it!

Try anything near Union Square, this is where all of the shopping, shows, bars etc are located.

The Westin Market Street
The Clift
The Marriott
Westin St. Francis

Re: San Francisco?

I stayed at the Marriott Marquis on 4th Street and a W hotel not far from the Moscone center. Both in great locations and walking distance to the wharf.
