Scared sh*tless. Part II

Scared sh*tless. Part II

Okay so you all heard of my flight fiasco. I recovered from that only to get scared again...

Went to the supermarket at 9PM. Yes, late. I went alone. I know, I know- stupid me. But late night shopping is so much better than crazy daytime food shopping. Well, I did ALL this shopping- like 100 bucks worth of food. Paid and walked with my cart. I noticed this scary looking kid wearing an orange vest smoking a cig by the exit / entrance. He is STARING at me. I think whatever. Probably a weirdo.

Well, I walk to my car. Mofo is following me. Like 2 feet behind me. Now, I am parked rather close to the entrance. Like second space from the first. So I go to my car. Mofo is standing on an island leaning against a pole. WATCHING me. I turned around and asked if he had a problem. He didn't answer. He just stood there watching.

AT this point, I am shaking. Like massively scared. I chirped my alarm to lock the car. Grabbed my cart and ran back inside. I looked for a manager. I told him what happened. He works there but the manager said he should not be doing that. So I waited and the manager walked outside and grabbed the kid.

I was SOOOO scared. It was very suspicious. He watched every move I made. I know if I would have unloaded my bags, something would have happened.

I am going there tomorrow with DH to file a complaint. I want that POS fired.

Oh, this was in a safe neighborhood btw. Never again am I doing late night shopping unless DH is with me.

Yea, he worked there. I kind of figured he did because he wore a night reflector vest. He was an 18ish year old kid. But you looked at him and he was off. Like something wasn't right. I am def going to make sure he is fired!

Are you kidding me???????? Someone was attacked in Hillside? I didn't hear of this. I know, it sucksss because we always have to be cautious. I am pretty cautious. If it was someone who wasn't as cautious, something would have happened to them.

Its a good thing you were aware of your surroundings and made a smart decision to go inside and find a manager.

I'm super skeptical of absolutely everybody, especially creepy lurkers.

Michelle you don't take any crap! I LOVES IT!

LOL, for someone who doesn't take crap was VERY scared. I always thought I would kick the crap out of someone who would do something like that and I ran inside. But I am glad I did....

Many times grocery stores hire mentally ill people to do carts and those kinds of jobs. Often times they are part of a vocational program trying to get them to be members of society. The kid is probably harmless but I can understand why you would feel uncomfortable and have every right to complain.

Good for you for trusting your instinct! I'm glad the manager did the right thing, too.

You totally reacted right. Always go with your gut, if you think something isn't right, then it probably isn't. You used your head.

How creepy, its so scary out there today. Do you know my mom got followed home from the store once, she was so creeped out. Luckily she lives in a gated community so when they hit the gate my mom said something and the guard called 911, on seeing the gate the person turned around. But that was not far after that woman and daughter got followed home from the store and was murdered.

Its so scary what this world is coming to.

Yes, I was thinking this, too. There is a young guy like that at the supermarket where I go, and at first, I was freaked out that he was always looking at me, but he says hi all the time now and seems harmless. He smiles and hums a lot. I agree that you can never be too careful, though.
