I'm sorry to come to this side (I still have 2 mos ) but I need help and BTB can't help.
What is the easiest way to do seating for the reception? Did you have any little tricks? Like cutouts of tables to keep it all straight? I'm so afraid I'm going to get all confused and put people at the wrong tables or the same person at two different tables
Thanks...sorry to intrude

Re: Seating help??
I used the response cards. And if I was missing any for people that were coming, I made replacements.
We stacked the response cards by table...and whatever was left over, we fit where we could until we found a plan we liked. It was easy, organized, and quick. Worked like a charm!
After I was done I added table numbers based on the stacks and where we wanted people, and plugged it into an excel spreadsheet and sorted by table number, and then did a version sorted by name for the hall.

Re: Seating help??
I took my list on excel, printed it out and crossed of those I sat as we went along it was just very easy!
I always thought it would be so hard but it flows as you go.
I also had a seating chart from CH which had the tables with circles drawn on it with the table numbers so we made a copy & just wrote names in pencil inside each circle. We made changes here & there but it's simple, you will see.

Re: Seating help??
The hall should give you the breakdown of where all the tables will be and the numbers of them. Then its easier because you see where everyone will be sitting and you can decide who you want at each table.

Re: Seating help??
I made large circles and wrote in the names of each person sitting at the table (in pencil!!!). Then I stuck them to a board and got to move them around to find the best place for each table. DH and parents found this helpful!
