selling non-drycleaned wedding gown?

ok so i've finally decided i want to sell my gown which hasnt moved from the closet in the bag since June 30th 2007. it hasnt been dry cleaned which costs $175. I looked at it, there's nothing major just some minor dirt on the bottom from walking around.

question is: do i spend the freakin 175 to clean it then charge more, or just charge a price and say 'as is' or is that gross and no one would buy it anyway?

I would clean it first. and then adjust the price.

I am trying to sell mine, i am going to get it dry cleaned first so i can see if there are any permanent stains, which i dont think there are.

My DH doesnt want me to sell it, but i dont want to keep it its so big and taking up so much room

I would dry clean it. How do you sell a gown thats been altered to fit you? I dont have the typical measurments so i was just wondering how i would do that?

I guess i'll go ahead and have it cleaned, its just annoying to do it then sell it; but i'll adjust the price as suggested.

As for the alterations i'm not sure, i'll just say what mine are and hope someone matches or is smaller so they can take it in?

any other advice on that?
