Sex & The City G2G-IN the City

Ok so I know Michelle is planning one for the Hamptons, but seeing as I have been talking about planning a city G2G for the SATC movie for over a month in my posts, since we found out the date and was holding off on the actual planning ONLY se June seemed so far away and the PP was being planned, I am going to keep it on. After all, SATC took place in NYC-the Big Apple and all of that Jazz. Only fitting to do it justice where it all started.


The movie comes out May 30, 2008. However, opening weekend will probably be mobbed to the point that getting into theatres in the city, much less bars to hang out together and not be competing with crazy crowds, will be pretty impossible. We want to be able to watch the movie then hang togetehr and have a good time withou getting hoarse because everyone else is screaming over us. JMO.


So I am going to propose 2weekends. I am thinking Friday night would be easiest for people but we can consider Saturday as well. I cannot do the weekend of the 14th because I have a wedding planned.

Please vote for the one you think works best for you and we go from there with planning the theatre and the bar/club afterwards.

I'll me you guys for dinner and drnks before hand, but i have no desire to see that movie.
(I worked on the HBO show in post production and absolutely HATE it... Mainly b/c I had to deal with so many problems with the show, that I never gave the shoe a chance... purely bias)

That would be fine. I am thinking drinks or dinner beforehand because that way people can split if they like. Or we can do it earleir if its a saturday so people arent out crazy late.

I just think it would be fun-esepcially if we can get in somewhere the characters used to hang out ya know.

I'd vote for opening weekend simply because DH's birthday is June 5 and we'd probably have plans that weekend in June.

Heh we have a couch...of course the cats claim it generally lol but you can throw them off! ITS SOOOO far in the future...just wanted to put it out there as a heads up and we can bookmark it and return to it in the future closer to the time.

I could do after the 14th but that weeknd SIL is having a committement ceremony with ehr life parter.

We have TIME to work it out!
