Has anyone made their own shadow box with their bo-k and invitation and stuff?
I dried my bo-k myself along with DH's bout. I want to put it all in a nice display box but the ones i saw at Michael's don't look deep enough. Has anyone done this yet? Did you have to crush one side of the bo-k so it would fit? Also, how does it stay in place? Do i use pins? Please help. Thanks

I bought mine at michaels, it was not deep enough, but there were dead flowers on the back of mine so i pulled them off, the bok is a little squooshed, but i love it and i wasnt goign to spend hundreds to get it done. I went to AC moore and they told me they could custom make one, but it was about 300.
I made my own but I didnt put my bok in it. ( I realized after the fact I don't like how the dead flowers look.)
If you want to put your bok in it and its big, you can buy one of those square shadow boxes that are really deep.
So this won't help you much but I put in my invite, some photos, the seals I used for my invite (which spelled out l-o-v-e which was my wedding song) and my favor

I got a really nice shadow box at Pottery Barn - I also did not put my dried bo-k in it so I'm not sure if it'd be deep enough but I think it would be if some of the flowers were removed. I put my program, menu, a picture, DH's bout, personalized matchbook & napkin, and a rose from my bok in it. I also did one from our honeymoon - they look so pretty and are definitely easy enough to do yourself. :)
Oh and mine also came with push pins, regular pins, and sticky things (a little kit)

I didn't get to do my boquet yet but I put the flowers I received from my husband on my wedding day..

Did one also but it's small so no bouquet...I got it as a gift and just finished it the other day--I LOVE IT!

I bought the deepest one that Michael's had, it also came with double sided velcro tape that you use to stick the stuff on the back. It was deep enough for my bouquet, with a little smushing going on. But i didn't care that the back got crushed, it's not like I'm going to be reusing it! It's such a nice idea because you get to display and save all your wedding momentos.
