Show me your Donation Favors !

My DOC Christine Viola made a bunch of plaques using cardstock stating: To Our Guests: In addition to our favors, we have made a donation to the MS Society in honor of all our guests'. The picture is below.
I would have tried to do it myself but I had no time but I'm sure it isn't hard to do on your own. She put them up around the reception hall, one on each of the 2 bars in the room, one on the gift table (as in the picture) and one on the favor table. She might have put a few more around but those were the ones that I saw. I thought it was better that way since I didn't want to put too much on the tables to detract from the centerpiece and the table names.

i still dunno how to post a pic on this thing....but if you look in my photo album 'non pro wedding pics' towards the bottom there is a pic of my birdcage and all around it are the donation cards i made on kodakgallery.com. (we put one at everyone's place & there were some left over so the staff scattered them on the guest book/birdcage table) i used a pic of when we went to give in our donation check & on the inside i wrote.........

'we feel the finest gift is one that helps others live longer and happier lives.

in leiu of favors a donation has been made to the nassau university medical center as a special 'thank you' for the life-saving medical care billy received on november 3, 2003.'

I don't have a pic, but I printed the following on nice linen paper (about 5X7 size) and put them at every other seat:

'We are so happy that you are sharing in our special day, we wanted to honor you in a special way

In lieu of favors a donation has been made to the North Shore University Hospital Oncology Research Center... (something like that, I can't remember the exact name) without whom several guests close to us may not be here to celebrate. We feel the best gift we can give the people we love is the gift of good health.

My dad had a very risky surgery to remove a cancerous brain tumor and spent almost a month there and my best friend was treated there for lymphoma within the year before our wedding so it seemed appropriate for us. Thankfully they are both fine now.

I did an donation to a fund started in my moms honor, I have a few pics, I also made sugar cookies in heart shapes, and put them in plastic bags and put the thank you tag on the bad with the donation info on the back of it. I don't have a pic of what the donation info looked like but i will post what I do have, If you need more info FM me and I will give you more details and exactly what I wrote on the cards
