Shower Gift - Cooks Wanted

Shower Gift - Cooks Wanted

My friends shower is next weekend. I bought her two beautiful casserole dishes that sit in their own baskets. I want to wrap them together with some kitchen 'staples'. You know the kind of stuff your Mom always had in the cabinets and when you went out on you own you had keep running to the store to buy?

So far I've got:
flour
sugar
baking soda
baking powder

Any other ideas you have would be greatly appreciated!

Trader Joes has inexpensive Salt and pepper grinders with the S&P in them already.

First- This is a great shower present idea. I may have to 'steal' it when my sister and BM finally get married.

Very good ideas so far.

OK, this isn't food, but I thought I would also add that an apron would be nice (maybe even 2- with their names on it )

I also got a book at my shower called, 'Bride and Groom First and Forever Cookbook.' The authors talk about setting up you kitchen and give sample menues for holidays, get-togethers and special events. It's a cute book.

That's a great idea. I got the idea of 'staples' from a friend who gave it as a gift once. She filled a laundry basket with all the kitchen cubbard items.
