Re: Shutterfly Quality for printing............
I ordered some pictures from them and they came out great. Maybe you can complain and get the photos re-done.

Re: Shutterfly Quality for printing............
They will redo them if you ask.Ive had the red experience too and sometimes they come out perfect. Its a crap shoot just like with a brick and morter photo developer.

Re: Shutterfly Quality for printing............
you can play around w/ the quality before you orderthey have border and crop options
go to border and select NO BORDER and your pics will be larger, I did not know this and got a whole bunch w/ the white border and hardly any pic

Re: Shutterfly Quality for printing............
I ordered once & they came out very nice. I like the white border, but I also liked the other options that they give you! I'd ask them to redo them, no shipping also!!

Re: Shutterfly Quality for printing............
Thanks Ladies.I will try and have them redo them, although it was a few months ago
Question: Should I trust them to print over 200 wedding pics from my friends digicams and scanners?
The qualities of all the pics look GREAT.....
But that's a big order. I'm scared to trust them

Re: Shutterfly Quality for printing............
Liz, make sure the quality of the print that you upload is at least 200 dpi and that you are either scanning them at that or the resolution is high from the digital. Some pics come out OK that I have them do, others are great and good quality. I love them!

Re: Shutterfly Quality for printing............
You should do some test prints first.Just because they look good on your screen doesnt necessarily mean they are set properly for shutterfly's printers. (Since your printer is calibrated with your screen, you will get more true to screen results from your printer.)

Re: Shutterfly Quality for printing............
I ordered about 75 pictures from shutterfly and they came out very good. But make sure you scan them in at a high DPI (200-300). I would ask them to redo the ones that came out incorrectly

Re: Shutterfly Quality for printing............
Liz, try scannig them at a higher resolution and try doing it from Ofoto, I got some of my proofs in wallet size done by them and they were perfect.

Re: Shutterfly Quality for printing............
Liz, normally digitals are high in quality, although you can change that on each digital but the pics are taken at a large size, I think mine are 8 x 10's or larger, so when that becomes a 4x6 the quality is still very good. I know when you upload to Shutterfly, they are shrunk down.
