I noticed alot of the 07'ers are not posting as much. I guess they are on LIF or not on here as much..

You should stay and get to know us 08'ers!!

I still like it cus I dont have much to do at work so this is one of the only things that keeps me entertained. I can't get on facebook or myspace at work and I can't access my personal email. I just try to help out future brides by sharing my experiences. And I enjoy posting silliness and whatnot on the NW board.

It doesn't have to be foreign to you. Just talk to new people and participate in threads that new people post, you might surprised.

Its not like new people are going to be against you participating.

When I post i just look at topics I can participate in, dont look at who is posting. I don't care if the person is new or old.

i still write in..i dont care lol - however i think caroline just meant that all our old brides from our time(lol) have moved on & we're still lingering lol. doesn't matter to me as i just write & make new friends as i go...
i know i am SO not ready to go over to LIF...just doesn't interest me - so i'm stayin'

(i do think the biggest thing i miss is Marie's perviness! )

I tried LIF, and its cool but I agree, its just not for me. I can be here chatting all day about nothing. Even commenting on a post if someone farted maybe bc i am the new kid on the block on LIF its different. Its too clickish for me.

Random- but I always thought the NW boards would be like the happily ever after place with tons of brides posting. When I came here in March it was pretty much all '07 and some '06 brides and everyone is gone.

or as he'd say 'Le Sigh' missing the old schoolers who'd make me laugh all the time...not that the new girls aren't great..just don't know them as well.

It is NOT about not wanting to get to know the 08' girls. It is more about that there comes a time to move on ...

It is past the time of being a NW it almost is for me according to my second wedding (renewal of vows) , the newlywed thing and wedding stuff gets real old after awhile really how many times can you answer the same 'type' threads within more than a years time, it gets and redundant.

When I notice a topic that is refreshing to me or new and not wedding related sometimes I will put my .2 in I also pop in from time to time b/c of some of you 08'ers you know who you are

I also do miss the 07's and 06' b/c you do get to know them over the time that your posting - glad we have FB to keep in touch

and no its not about 08ers. im sure you ladies are wonderful. its just missing the 07/NW days and reminiscing.

haha on 'Le Sigh' -- i always say that thinking of pepe le pieu!

yeah i haven't been on here as much lately--LIF is just feeling more and more like home. but as i said before--its just part of the circle of life on LIW. you eventually move on. this time of year as it is EVERY YEAR..i'm sure the 08ers that are left to marry on their board are starting to feel like everyone is 'leaving' there and coming here....and the NW board is full of fresh brides---while the ones that have been here for awhile feel like everyone is moving onto LIF and 'invading' our board here--so we too must leave.

and again--its nothing against the influx of brides from 08 coming over---its not like we don't want to get to know you all. its just that we've already gone thru the whole 'what was the best part of your wedding day?!' or 'what are you doing with you dress?', 'how do i change my name?', 'how has married life changed you?', 'post a pic of your fav moment dancing at your wedding while break dancing on a piece of cardboard and balancing your wedding cake on top of your head!'

not saying that the new NWs shouldn't have these topics--just trying to play devil's advocate and let everyone understand where we are coming from when we say we 'miss' our board. especially when people ask the same questions over and over again--eventually that's when you start moving on!

I've only beeen married for 3 months and I feel like it's time for me to 'move on' So, I know how you girls feel. Sometimes when I tell DH that I am on LIW, he looks at me all funny like 'why do you still go on a wedding site'? And I can't even answer him, lol. But I still come on time to time to see what's going on, but not nearly as much as I did before the wedding.

I think its also that the same dynamic isn't there like it once was- ALOT of people left the boards that used to post pretty regularly so its changing...I'm not much of an LIF girl...I still like coming on LIw and checking in on my 08ers and catching up on gossip

I believe our time is pretty much up here.I only come on here once in awhile because I know some of the girls on here personally, especially one who is getting married next weekend!!! I cant wait. I am down to maybe once a week coming on here sometimes more. I have been fading away for awhile now though. LIfamilies here I come.
