I booked the trip Valentines weekend to Rhode Island and we can't wait...
However- getting to this holiday is going to take alot as he is down in the dumps...
I wanted to maybe surprise him every day with a little something when he wakes up... but what?
He can't have chocolates, dairy, or alot of sugar (DARN VALENTINES DAY) and he doesn't like candy.... except 'natural liccorice' candy (GROSE)
Its only 10 days so 9 things?
Anyone have any ideas?

what about just buying random valentines cards...give him one per day.. i sent dh one a day starting 2/1 one year.. it was cute every day he got one in the mail until vday!!
i also put scratch offs in them ( he won $500!!!), coupons, and cute little love notes!!!
i loved it!!! i always found so many cards! funny cards, sexy cards, mushy cards, cute cards... etc.

I like luck related things and that's what I think you need now. Maybe something like a lucky coin the first day then a lotto ticket the next (with the hopes of an early retirement!). Since I know you guys are Catholic too maybe a prayer card for his specific condition - I looked it up and Saint Lucy is the saint for the eyes. Things that are small and specific to you two but that show you're really thinking of him and not just thinking of 'husband' - you know? Something cute from the baby - something Daddy related. Things that make him look forward to the future.

You know- Thats a great idea- the saint lucy thing. I dont know of any christian places here though- I only know of one out in staten island...
but that would be so great.
I also made a bunch of quotes and this morning when I woke up- I found a little response to the one I had left on the bathroom mirror...
He said it really cheered him up- so that makes me beyond happy... 'PHEW'
I got a dunkin doughnuts ornament and stuck a magnet on the back- and wrote 'What about a schnozberry muffin' Which was a quote that made me pee myself on our FIRST DATE at Dunkin lolol
that will go in the bathroom tomorrow. We dont see eachother in themorning, he just wakes me up to kiss me goodbye and leaves me notes so i wanted him to feel special for once.
I was also thinking of going to the irish import store- HE LOVES crunchies...yum!
