We spoke to them everyday!! Sometimes more than once! We are really close with our families and felt like we wanted to share with them everything we did!! Plus we were in FL so all our callls were free from our cell phones! It was also our first time away just the two of us so we were so excited to share everything!! AND of course we had to hear about all the feedback about the wedding!

We called my folks once and his family a few times because his grandmother, who has since passed away, was very sick.

Us, too! Well, almost. My mom called me in Aruba during week two of our HM because someone broke my car window, (which was staying in front of her house), and she needed my auto insurance information. I gave it to her - and of course, we had to chat! - and she and my stepdad had it all fixed by the time we came back. Which was really nice.

We called to let them know we got there ok and then we called again when we switched locations to let them know we made that trip ok too. I called them collect and wound up costing them like $60.

I got really sick and wanted to talk to my Mommy. (Yes, I'm 30.) Felt like crud and was crying that I was ruining the HM we waited so long for.

Ship to shore on a cruise, the call cost $56 for 7 minutes.

We did call both of our parents whenever we were flying to let them know that we arrived safely - we took flights to three different islands so we didnt want them to be worried.
